This blog is a deep dive into the things that matter to me… & maybe you too.
I hope you find this page both reflective and restorative, leaving you better than when you found it. Lord knows our souls could use more of that.
Building A Legacy: Why You Should Think About It Now
Why not think about the legacy you’re leaving now? Why wait until the latter season of your life to plan for how you want to be remembered? This post provides ideas and examples for how to write your eulogy in order to live more intentionally today.
How A Lack of Discipline in My Twenties Led to Laziness In My Thirties
Our culture is one of gluttony often parallel with the YOLO mentality, and slothfulness masked as “self-care” or “self-love” at times. Of course I believe in the need for self-care and rest as well as treating yourself… AND, let’s be honest, as a society we’ve become wayyyyy more indulgent in the name of self-preservation than what is balanced or even needed… in my relationship with discipline (really the lack thereof as of late), I noticed my lack of boundaries with indulgence versus self-control.
Visions of the Future: Thinking Forward to Align Your Life Now

The Big Reframe: Creating A New Neural Pathway Forward for 2023
The turning of another new year can come with a hefty dose of expectation as we try to recalibrate and place (sometimes ridiculous) expectations on what we want to accomplish or the kind of people we want to grow into...
It’s not so much who we want to become that I hold a tension with, it’s the fasttrack path we can put ourselves on to try and accelerate our becoming beyond what is sustainable or sticky enough to produce the results we set our intentions upon.
In honor of this tension, I decided to use my last therapy session of 2022 to both digest this recent month and put in in service of this new year ahead.
So, this new year for me in a few words: intentional, creative, sustainable and future-focused.
And, I have a question for you…
Be Present for the Pause
It’s in these seasons that feel dark and despairing, when life doesn’t feel abundant at all but rather on a terminal pause, that we truly have the opportunity to prune and prepare for future flourishing and productivity. We have the chance to examine the ground we are planted in, and evaluate the strength and reach of our roots. While this season can feel like a series of setbacks-- even suffering-- I can tell you from experience, that this is where the magic happens. This season primes us for creation.
